10 years. 49 million meals. One incredible journey. 🐾❤️
“I was helping out at a shelter, and I saw how much they were struggling to just meet the basic needs… I wanted to do more.” Kathy Wiesner, Founder.
Ten years ago, Kathy saw a need and decided to fill it. Today, that spark of inspiration has grown into a lifeline for hundreds of rescues and shelters across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin. We’ve moved over 17,000 pallets of food and supplies – that’s enough to stack nearly 5 Sears Towers high!
In this video, Kathy reflects on how far we’ve come – from bringing in just one truck every couple months to now operating a decade-long “convoy of hope” that keeps bowls and bellies full and goods out of landfills.
As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, we want to thank you to our incredible partners – your support allows these organizations to say “yes” to the next animal in need. 🐱🐶

Love this! An incredible update on one of our Medical Grant Recipients, Buttons! We are thrilled to hear she's healing quickly and hope she is smelling ALL the smells ❤ Pet Profile Rescue🐾💗 Buttons update!
Look at this sweet girl at the vet today—stitches officially removed! 🥹✨
Buttons recently went through a big medical journey after struggling with her breathing. At her initial exam, there was concern she might have an elongated palate—but once under anesthesia, the vet discovered her palate was actually normal. The real issue? Her nares were severely restricting her airflow.
So, she had nare repair surgery—and we’re so happy to share that she’s already doing better! 💕
While she was under, Buttons also had her spay and a much-needed dental, setting her up for a healthier, more comfortable future.
We are incredibly grateful to Rescue Pack for helping with a portion of her surgery—your support made a real difference for this little girl 💛
Buttons has been such a trooper through it all. Sweet, resilient, and so deserving of the fresh start she’s getting.
Welcome to easier breathing and brighter days ahead, Buttons 🐶💕
