To our incredible community of donors, Greater Good Charities, rescue organizations, and volunteers, thank you for being a powerful member of our “Pack”. As we celebrate Rescue Pack’s 10-year anniversary, we are looking back with gratitude at how far we have come together.
What began a decade ago as a small, local effort to address pet food insecurity has blossomed into a massive regional operation. Today, we serve hundreds of rescues, shelters, and community partners across the Midwest, ensuring they have the resources to say “yes” to the next animal in need.
A Powerful 10-Year “Paw-Print”
Your support has translated into staggering numbers that represent lives saved and futures changed. Over the last decade, our collective impact includes:
- 49,233,163 Pet Meals: This is enough to feed every pet in a Great Lakes shelter for an entire year.
- 16.4 Million lbs. of Surplus Saved: We have turned 16.4 million pounds of potential landfill waste into “49 million purrs and tail wags” by redirecting essential supplies to those who need them most.
- 17,091 Pallets Moved: To put this in perspective, if these pallets were stacked vertically, they would reach 7,121 feet high—equivalent to 4.9 Willis Towers.
- 626 Truckloads: Our logistics and warehousing network has created a lifeline of supplies stretching the distance of Navy Pier to Wrigley Field and back again.
More Than Just Pet Food: A Lifeline for Communities
While redistributing surplus pet food and supplies to rescue and shelter organizations remains our core focus, we believe in supporting the entire “Pack”—including the people in the communities we serve.
In 2025, we launched our inaugural Bowls of Hope campaign, which mobilized resources at scale for community pet food pantries to ensure local pets did not go hungry during times of peak need. We also utilized our network to distribute essential household items and products to homeless individuals, veterans, and domestic violence shelters.
By strengthening our infrastructure and refreshing our brand in 2025, we have positioned Rescue Pack to operate even more efficiently as we enter our second decade.
