Thank you to our friends at Pet Food Experts for their generous donation of over 28 pallets of cat and dog food — that’s 43,870 pounds or nearly 200,000 meals for rescue and shelter pets awaiting their forever homes!

The winter season brings extra challenges for the rescues we support. As temperatures drop, more animals arrive with cold-related injuries and medical costs climb. These months stretch resources thin, but together, we can make a difference.
Every dollar donated equals 10 meals for animals in need, and 10 less meals rescues must pay for. This season, your support matters more than ever.

Huckleberry's Snack Shack received a generous donation of pet food from a larger organization, and we’re excited to share it with our community this holiday season and through January.
Join us Thursday evenings to pick up free dog and cat food while supplies last.
📢 A few things to keep in mind:
● Food is available while supplies last. We’ll do our best to support as many families as possible.
● No special requests for brands. You will be offered what we have. Take it or leave it.
● Only 1 person per household can receive donations
● Please respect these rules so everyone has a fair chance.
● We only allow TWO people in the pet pantry at a time.
● No zip code restrictions.
● Bring a reusable tote to carry your items.

“Maxwell and Samson are about 6 months old and in the recovery room and they absolutely love the Acana kitten food. They went from nitpicking what was offered before to chowing down. Kylie is a little brown tabby that had been left behind inside a motel room. She suffered from food insecurity and this Orijen cat food fills her up faster with good protein, and the donated cat litter from Chewy makes sure her other needs are covered. We are a small animal rescue, but we're doing big things to make a big difference for those that cannot help themselves. We want to send you a wholehearted thank you from all our volunteers and fosters. We would not be able to make this big of a difference without you.”
